A 48-year-old man named Hanson Osei has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for running a clinic in his home without a medical license.
It is claimed that Mr Osei ran the unlicensed clinic for more than 12 years without any official authorisation.
It has been reported that he openly acknowledged providing medical treatment to individuals despite not having training from an accredited medical school during his questioning by the police.
The Medical and Dental Council of Ghana (MDC) has reported that four people have been arrested for practising medicine without a license from 2024 to the third quarter of 2025, while additional individuals are still being investigated.
