Things are extremely awry for Marcus Rashford at the moment at his beloved Manchester United. The 27-year-old was left out in the Manchester derby on Sunday afternoon and it has finally broken down the relationship between him and the Red Devils.
Marcus Rashford was asked whether he’s staying or leaving: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps. Something new for the striker will be so refreshing to all parties after the club hierarchy has disclosed that they are willing to do business with any interested club.
“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person”.
“If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave, I’ll make a statement and it will be from me,” concluded Rashford.
Rashford has had issues with past Manchester United managers since 2016.
Jose Mourinho managed Rashford at Manchester United and he once openly criticised him for his attitude.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told Rashford to focus on football during his reign as the boss of the Red Devils.
German tactician Ralph Rangnick said, “Rashford can leave the club”
Erik Ten Hag dropped Rashy but also defended him for so many disciplinary issues, and now Ruben Amorim, who is just over a month into his Manchester United reign, has followed past Red Devils managers’ decisions.
The Manchester United academy graduate is the highest-paid player in the club but has not lived up to what he United since 2015 and has played more than 280 games for the club scoring 87 goals.
He scored 7 Premier League goals in 33 appearances in the 2023-24 season. In the current campaign, Marcus Rashford has found the back of the net four times in 15 EPL games.
