Mfantsipim School has won the 2024 National Science And Maths Quiz which took place at New Examination Centre (NEC) at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

They beat St. Augustine’s College and Keta SHTS to win the bragging right as the National Science And Maths Quiz 2024 champion.

Mfantsipim School won the National Science and Maths Quiz with 47 points while St. Augustine’s College had 46 and Keta SHTS came third with 32 points.

This year’s win makes it 3 for Mfantsipim School.

Mfantsipim School, known as Ghana’s oldest Senior High School, has claimed the NSMQ title twice, in 1999 and 2014. Their formidable contestant,

St. Augustine’s College, another powerhouse from the Central Region, has consistently proven its mettle in the NSMQ, winning the title in 2007 and 2019 respectively. Known as the “Lords of the Coast,” their reputation for excellence in academics precedes them.

Keta SHTS, from the Volta Region of Ghana, is powered by the enduring “Dzolali Spirit,” which has become a rallying anthem for the school and its supporters. They first reached the finals in 2021, finishing as second runner-up, and their determination has only grown stronger since.

The National Science and Maths Quiz is an annual science and mathematics content-based national level quiz competition for senior high schools in Ghana. It has been produced by Primetime Limited, an education-interest advertising and public relations agency, since 1993.
