Things are looking extremely clear that Manchester United will have a very long season after losing four games in the last six in all competitions under new manager Ruben Amorim.

Bournemouth broke the Red Devils into pieces on Sunday afternoon at the Old Trafford. Manchester United was beaten 3-0 by Andoni Iraola’s Cherries, much to the disappointment of the Red Devils fraternity.

Former Egyptian playmaker Mohamed Aboutrika, speaking on BEIN Sports after the embarrassing defeat, revealed that he would play the youth team instead of the senior team.

“If I were Amorim, I would play with the youth team. Manchester United’s senior players lack almost all the elements that will help drive a team forward. Watching them play has never been satisfying for almost two years. The troubles continue every time they play, forcing many fans to demand the drop of some of them.

Mohamed Aboutrika continued, “I would have taken the captaincy away from Bruno Fernandes if I were Ruben Amorim”.

Former Manchester United skipper Roy Keane has consistently opposed Bruno Fernandes’ captaincy, stating that he lacks leadership qualities.

In the 3-0 evisceration by Bournemouth, Fernandes was so poor after missing so many chances. The Portuguese midfielder, as a deep-lying playmaker, has failed to blossom as he keeps losing the ball in dangerous places, which always leads to a goal.

Aboutrika was disappointed with the club’s show in front of their fans in the disastrous defeat hence calling for Amorim to drop the senior players and strip off the captaincy from Fernandes.
