Ghana Black Stars are gearing up against Central African Republic on Monday night at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Group I has been very tough except Chad who is yet to put up a good performance. Madagascar, Comoros and Ghana all have 6 points from three games. Mali has disappointingly won four points and sits fourth on the log.
Ghana will face CAR on matchday 4 and it is a must-win game for the Black Stars.
In the pre-match conference, Mohammed Kudus disclosed that they have no excuse to give when they fail to beat the Central African Republic.
“We started playing here in Ghana so we cannot make excuses about the weather or any other element,” said Kudus.
Most of the Black Stars players were born and bred in Ghana and hence started playing football here. They are also used to the Ghanaian weather.
Pitches across the country have become one of Ghana’s biggest problems in football as almost all are not in good shape. Many teams and players complain about Ghana’s pitches whenever they are in the country.
Ghana will host Central African Republic on Monday at 7 pm in Kumasi.
