West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus has been charged with violent conduct by the FA following his altercation during Saturday’s match against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Ghana international’s actions are under investigation for “acting in an improper manner,” in addition to the red card offense that initially led to his suspension.

Kudus received a three-game ban after being shown a red card, which was upgraded from an initial yellow by VAR.

The red card was issued after he kicked out and shoved Spurs defender Micky van de Ven in the face during Tottenham’s 4-1 victory.

The situation escalated further when Kudus also pushed Pape Matar Sarr, and Richarlison fell to the ground after charging at Kudus amidst the chaos involving several players.

The FA has confirmed that both West Ham and Kudus have two days to respond to the charges, with statements issued regarding the conduct of both teams during the match.

West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui acknowledged the incident but admitted he did not witness the altercations firsthand.

He expressed concern for both Kudus and the club, indicating that the situation could have wider implications for the team’s dynamics.

As it stands, Kudus faces the possibility of a longer ban if the FA determines that the charges warrant additional punishment.
