Time is running out for Liverpool to renew Egyptian superstar Mohammed Salah’s contract, as he can negotiate with any club in January 2025 even though his current deal with the Reds will expire in the Summer of 2025.

Mohammed Salah has hit top form in the current season after scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists in 12 Premier League games for Liverpool.

The Egyptian forward joined the English giants from AS Roma in 2017 and has helped the club end their three decades of wait for a domestic league title by playing a key role in their Premier League triumph in the 2019-2020 season under Jurgen Klopp. Salah’s impact at Liverpool is second to none, as he always proves to be the star man since signing from Italy.

At the St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton on Sunday afternoon, Mo Salah’s brace helped Liverpool beat Southampton 3-2 to open up 8 points lead over second-placed Manchester City.

When the Egyptian King was quizzed on his contract situation, he revealed that he was getting disappointed with the situation.

“I feel probably more out than in”, said Salah. The Saudi Arabia PRO League has lurked around Salah for almost two years and will be feeling confident of snatching him away from other clubs in Europe.

“Well, we are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club”, Salah added. The Red fans are very worried about the contract situation, especially hearing that he wants to stay.

“Of course, yeah. I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end, it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands. Let’s wait and see”, he added when asked whether he is disappointed or not.

“I’m not going to retire soon, so I’m just playing, focusing on the season, and I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed, but we will see”, the 32-year-old concluded.

Liverpool’s trio of Mohammed Salah, Virgil Vam Dijk and Trent Alexander Arnold’s contracts will expire next summer. The club has not shown any seriousness in renewing them for the important trio.
