Luis Diaz could have gotten an incredible rating at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday night when he scored twice to put Bayern Munich 2-0 up against European champions, Bayern Munich.

He simply lost focus and ridiculously tackled Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi, forcing the Moroccan to be substituted.

Achraf Hakimi suffered a painful ankle injury following the reckless tackle, sparking major concern for PSG and Morocco ahead of the imminent AFCON 2025.

The Moroccan full-back’s ankle twisted awkwardly under the impact, leaving him writhing in pain on the pitch.

Referee Maurizio Mariani consulted VAR and issued a straight red card to Díaz for the reckless challenge.

The sight of the PSG defender in tears sent shockwaves through fans and officials, especially in Morocco, where Hakimi is a key figure in the national team setup.

With less than two months to go before the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, his injury has raised serious concerns about his availability for the tournament.

Initial reports suggest Hakimi could be sidelined for three to five weeks, pending further medical evaluation.

The Moroccan Football Federation and PSG medical staff are closely monitoring his condition, hoping for a swift recovery.

Meanwhile, the incident has reignited debates about player safety and the need for stricter enforcement against dangerous tackles in elite football.
