The farming community of Mpasatia in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region has been thrown into shock after a man was killed during a violent confrontation over a woman believed to be at the center of a love triangle.
According to eyewitnesses, the deceased—whose name is yet to be officially disclosed—was reportedly in a long-term relationship with the woman and had even rented a room for her in the town.
Trouble, however, began when he was alerted that another man was allegedly having an affair with her
Sources in the community told journalists that the deceased rushed to the woman’s residence after being informed that the alleged rival, identified only as Jeff and believed to be in his mid-thirties, was in the house with her.
Upon arrival, he is said to have met Jeff in a compromising situation with the woman.
What initially began as a heated verbal exchanges quickly turned into a physical altercation.
Residents say the fight escalated until the deceased collapsed during the scuffle.
Despite pleas from onlookers for the woman to intervene and help, she allegedly dismissed the calls, telling others that she “didn’t care” if he died.
The man was later pronounced dead, throwing the community into mourning.
Jeff, the alleged rival, fled the scene immediately after the incident and is currently on the run.
Police have since launched a manhunt for him.
