British Heavyweight boxer Daniel Dubois is optimistic he will be crowned the undisputed world heavyweight champion soon. His second fight against the undisputed king, Oleksandr Usyk, is a few days away.

Daniel Dubois, on Saturday at Wembley Stadium in London, will face Usyk, who in the heavyweight title unification bout, where the 27-year-old is confident he can become the first and only fighter to beat the Ukrainian since he became a professional boxer in 2013.

Triple D has revealed that his dad once promised him at age seven that he would become the undisputed world heavyweight champion.

“I believed everything he said – the words, the way he said it. He was so sure about it that I believed and thought: ‘Yes, I’m going to do this.’ It’s not just talk. We’ve been working hard since I was seven years old. I was grinding my fists down to the bone for it”, Dubois said.

The time is almost here for his father’s promise to be fulfilled, but he faces the biggest test of his career as his opponent Usyk has smashed all the crème de la crème of world boxing, making him a dangerous fighter. With back-to-back wins over former world champions Joshua and Fury, Oleksandr Usyk remains favourite for Saturday night’s big bout but must be wary of Dubois’ form.

Daniel Dubois, since losing two years ago controversially against Usyk, has destroyed all his opponents, including a 5th-round brutal knockout of Joshua at Wembley Stadium in 2024.
