Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu started his career with Berlin FC before playing for Berekum Arsenal between 2007 to 2009.

Badu moved to Asante Kotoko where he had a season long loan and joined Spanish side Recreativo de Huelva.

Life became so good when he finally signed for Italian side Udinese in January 2010 from Berlin FC. Badu played for Udinese for 10 years.

The 2009 U-20 FIFA World Cup champion has had a great career but had a very poor start in Ghana, financially.

In the Ghana Premier League, Agyeman Badu was nowhere near the best paid players especially at Berekum Arsenal.

“My salary at Berekum Arsenal was 30 cedis,” Agyeman Badu Emmanuel disclosed.

The talented midfielder’s revelation summarises how hard life is for footballers in Ghana’s domestic league. Things always change when players move outside the country to seek for greener pastures and Agyeman Badu is no different.

Agyeman Badu’s finances improved greatly when he played his football in Europe.
