My wife understands my kissing roles in movies – Ramsey Nouah

Ramsey Nouah is considered a pioneer of the Nollywood industry and also one of the greatest African actors of all time. The 54-year-old is so popular in the African entertainment industry after playing major roles in thousands of movies.

His best role is to act as a lover boy who will either be smashing women, chasing women or women will be chasing him. Some call him the Nollywood White Lover-Boy while others call him Mr Romantic.

Ramsey Noah has always been seen kissing female actresses in numerous movies, with many wondering how a married man can go to that extent.

The veteran actor has explained how his wife feels about him when he kisses in movies.

“Some people look at me and say, ‘How does your wife cope seeing you kiss another woman in a movie?’ Ramsey Nouah disclosed.

“And I tell them something simple: My wife is not ordinary. She’s rare. She understands. That’s the kind of person every actor or actress needs beside them — someone who sees deeper.

“It’s not love that holds two people together. Love fades. It changes. What keeps you going is companionship. That feeling of sitting with someone, even in silence, and feeling whole,” he added.

Ramsey Nouah shares three children with his long-time wife, Emelia-Phillips Nouah, having birthed two sons and one daughter.

“Don’t go after beauty. Beauty fades. Don’t run after muscles or a pretty face. Run after the one who listens, who understands your silence, who stays when things aren’t perfect,” Ramsey advised the unmarried young men.

“That’s the real bond. That’s the forever kind of love. If you don’t find that from the beginning, then you don’t have a partner,” Ramsey Nouah concluded.

Having played a starring role in so many romantic movies, he knows a thing or two about selecting a lifetime partner as a man.

Ramsey Nouah acted in his first movie in 1996 with Kate Henshaw, Alex Usifo and Segun Arinze in Silent Night. He has since played a leading role in uncountable movies.
