Many people did not take Napo’s comments about Dr Bawumia being the most sensible person he met in Nana Akufu-Addo’s cabinet.
His comments have not been welcome even by the avid follower of the former president, Alhaji Bawumia.
A pressure group called National Grassroots for Bawumia has implored the running mate, Dr Opoku Prempeh, to cease passing comments until the flagbearer election is over.
“We are appealing to Dr Napo that if Dr Bawumia has done anything wrong against him, he should forgive him and stay away from campaign platforms, because his utterances are hurting us too much,” the National Coordinator of the pressure group, Fred Appiah, said.
Napo, during the campaign for the 2024 presidential election, dared everyone to compare Kwame Nkrumah’s achievements to Nana Akuffo-Addo. People got angry and described his comments as irresponsible and disrespectful for bringing the former president into the conversation.
The NPP flagbearer elections will be conducted on Saturday, 31st January, where Mamudu Bawumia, Bryan Acheampong, Kennedy Agyapong, Kwabena Agyapong and Osei Adutwum will lock horns for the hot seat.
