The National Sports Authority (NSA) has taken a significant step in protecting and preserving the quality of national stadium pitches with the arrival of newly procured pitch covers.
The initiative follows a partnership engagement led by the NSA’s Marketing Unit, which reached out to private institutions and investors to support the acquisition of modern pitch-protection systems.
The new pitch covers are designed to safeguard the turf, reduce deterioration, and keep facilities in optimal condition for both sporting and non-sporting activities.
According to the NSA, the covers will help to enhance facility protection, reduce maintenance costs, and improve readiness for major events and competitions.
The NSA has acknowledged the significant contribution of a wholly Ghanaian-owned company that single-handedly funded the procurement of the pitch covers.
The Authority described the gesture as a remarkable demonstration of national service and support for sports development.
