Fans of Nations FC have vehemently denied that they were ever involved in any fracas against the fans of Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Okraku Sports Complex in Tema on Sunday in week 25 of the Ghana Premier League.
Fans were captured exchanging blows in Tema during the crucial fixture between the two struggling sides.
Rumours say that Nations FC’s striker Faisal Charwetey had his fans among Vision FC’s fans supporting him, leading to misunderstanding among them. Faisal Charwetey jpijedbNations FC from Almkatsi United from the Volta Region but grew up in Tema.
According to the Communications Director of Nations FC, Clement Appiah Tita, Nations FC supporters did not fight anyone in Tema.
“Nations FC supporters were never involved in any fight against Vision FC supporters. There was nothing of that sort, Nations P.R.O said
Clement Appiah Tita urged Ghanaians to ignore the accusations.
Nations FC drew goalless in Tema on Sunday, and the draw has pulled them to 6th position with 6 points behind the leader Asante Kotoko.
