Thursday night at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, former Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson made his much anticipated debut for Dallas Mavericks.
Dallas Mavericks defeated San Antonio Spurs by 120-109 with
Thompson scoring 22 points in 26 minutes.
Klay Thompson, 35, after 13 years of incredible success with Golden State Warriors culminating in 4x NBA Championships (15,17,18, 22), the shooting guard decided to try a new challenge after Golden State failed to tie him down with a new improved contract.
Thompson is expected to help Dallas Mavericks who lost 4-1 in the finals to Boston Celtics last season to win their first NBA title since the 2011’s 4-2 win over the heavy favourites Miami Heat.
Dallas Mavericks travels to Phoenix, in Arizona to face Phoenix Suns on Friday night in their second game of the season with Klay Thompson expected to start alongside Irvin, Doncic, Washington and Gafford once again.
