Senegalese striker Nico Jackson has been among the main men for Chelsea when it comes to goal-scoring. He has scored 9 goals in EPL and provided 5 assists. The last time Jackson scored a goal was when he doubled Chelsea’s lead on 15th December against Brentford when the Blues won 2-1 in week 16.
He has not scored a goal for Chelsea in his last 8 games but has provided two assists.
Former Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi has reiterated that the 23-year-old Senegalese striker does not have what it takes to lead Chelsea to the promised land.
“People are saying Nicolas Jackson is the solution to our problems but he’s not the solution. Before he was injured he didn’t score in eight,” Mikel said.
Jackson has missed Chelsea’s last two games and he is expected to be back soon.
“How is he the solution to the problem? He’s not. There’s been so many chances created by Cole Palmer and missed,” Obi added.
Nicolas Jackson has become someone who misses a lot of chances. Chelsea has many playmakers who always supply the striker with the balls but he always fails to score for the Blues.
Chelsea sits 6th on the league log and are 17 points behind leaders Liverpool. Enzo Maresca’s side has lost three and won one in their last four games in all competitions.
