Nigeria Football Federation has been facing a huge backlash from former Super Eagles stars and fans after the uncertainties that surrounded a new head coach and the poor administration of Nigerian football.

The latest big name to have joined the bandwagon is former PSG and Bolton Wanderers playmaker Jay Jay Okocha.

Okocha has demanded the dissolution of the football federation that is in charge of all the affairs of anything Nigerian football.

“The Super Eagles may not win any trophy until the current NFF officials are dissolved or reformed,” said Jay Jay Okocha.

“Appoint new officials who know more about football, who have an interest in football, who love football, and whose lifestyles represent football,” Okocha added.

The former Super Eagle slammed the leaders of the NFF for lacking interest in football. He called for everyone to be sacked from the management of Nigerian football or at least, there should be a reform.

“You can’t appoint politicians to manage football. Football is the only ties that keep Nigeria going as one. It is our only source of Joy.”

Ibrahim Musa Gusau is the president of the Nigerian Football Federation and his CV says he is a veteran football administrator who has been at the helm of Nigeria football since 2022.

Felix Anyansu-Agwu, the vice president of the Nigerian Football Federation is the chairman of Enyimba International F.C.

Agwu’s CV also suggests he is an experienced football brain, but Jay Jay Okocha thinks they are not up to the task.

Nigeria in the 2023 AFCON finished as runner-up after missing the 2022 FIFA World Cup. They have appointed a new head coach, Eric Chelle, to help the team fight for a slot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
