Senegal sits second on the continent but 20th in the world. Egypt stays third, while Algeria and Cote d’Ivoire complete the top 5.
Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, Tunisia and South Africa are the top 10 best countries in Africa.
Ghana is ranked 14th on the continent and 77th in the world after moving four places backwards.
Ghana drew 1-1 against Angola in Lunada and lost 2-1 in Accra to Niger in the final two games of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
Dr Congo (11th), Burkina Faso (12th) and Cabo Verde (13th) are ahead of the Black Stars.
Guinea, Gabon, Angola, Zambia, Uganda and Equatorial Guinea complete the 20 teams in Africa.
