The quarter finals of the Paris Olympic Games is set with host, France, set to renew their modern rivalry against 2004 and 2008 Gold medalist, Argentina.
Argentina defeated Ukraine 2-0 through Almada and Echeverri’s second half goals to finish second to Morocco in Group B with both teams winning 6 points each, scoring 6 goals each and conceding 3 goals each.
Table toppers of Group B, Morocco, will play against the impressive USA. Morocco smashed Iraq 3-0 with first half goals from Richardson, Rahimi and Elzzalzouli sending Iraq home.
Japan who won every game in Group D will play against Spain for a place in the semi-finals.
Egypt topped Group C and will lock horns against South American opponent Paraguay who finished second in Group D.
All the games will be played on Friday 2nd August 2024.
