The king of clay, Rafael Nadal lost 2 straight sets against Novak Djokovic at the Court Phillipe-Chatrier in Paris on Monday to exit the singles in the Olympic Games.

The 1/16 blockbuster was to many the finals in the Tennis in the ongoing Olympic Games with Djokovic brushing aside the Spaniard aside quickly.

Serbian star Djokovic won 6-1, 6-4 against Nadal to progress to the 1/8th stage to face Dominki Koepfer of Germany.

Rafael Nadal, 38, after the defeat to Novak Djokovic admitted he has not been at Djokovic’s level.

“At this point I have little to learn, I have the right experience to understand that I have not been at Djokovic’s level.

“This is not the time to make decisions or get down, I still have doubles to play. After the Olympics I will see what to do, primarily based on the sensations and desire I have.

“Even if it makes little sense to some, I’ve been in pain for two years and haven’t played continuously, but now I’m feeling better physically.

The 38-year-old 22 times Grand Slam winner has been missing major competitions due to many injuries but he feels he has been feeling very well lately.

“If I feel that I am not competitive I will decide to stop here, but I want to do everything to try to be competitive and still have fun,” Nadal said.

Many Tennis fans believe Nadal doesn’t have the strength to continue and challenge for major honours but the Spanish international has revealed that he will decide whether to continue or quit.
