Newly appointed National Sports Authority (NSA) Director General Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has revealed how ready the Accra Sports Stadium is for the Chad clash on Friday.
Yaw Ampofo Akrah’s office has been working hard to get the venue ready and up to CAF’s standard after it was rumoured earlier in the week that there is still more work to do.
“We are on it. Yes, a lot of emergency renovation work is needed. That is what we are doing, but God willing, by game day, everything will be fine,” Ankrah said.
“If you look at the pitch, we have just two more treatment sessions to the pitch, then it will be ready based on the specification given by the coach to those that take care of the pitch.”
Otto Addo’s preference for the pitch is on the verge of completion, and the Black Stars’ head coach is delighted with the progress.
“As for the training coach, Otto Addo has got his strategy mapped out for Chad, so he knows what he is looking for, and so far, I have heard he is very happy with the pitch and the necessary changes they have to do to make it perfect for Friday he will communicate it,” Ampofo Ankrah Added.
Ghana will face Chad on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium and visit Morocco for the Madagascar match.
