Mohammed Salah and Liverpool’s contract issues have been the main topic in the news recently as pundits and fans are divided on whether Salah deserves a new contract or not.

Many believe the Egyptian star is 32; hence, he’s nearing the end of his top-flight football, but nothing shows that he is declining. Many also believe that he is still at his peak and can give Liverpool good performances even in the next three seasons.

SkySports pundit Paul Merson has suggested if he were to decide on Salah’s new contract, he wouldn’t have given him a new one because he is ageing.

“I’m sorry, but I won’t be offering Mohamed Salah a new contract. He’s 32 now and will be 33 at the end of the season,” Merson surprisingly said.

Mohammed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk all will be free agents at the end of the current campaign in May 2025.

Liverpool fans are worried about the club not being able to reach an agreement with these important players.

Mohammed Salah has been in blistering form in the ongoing campaign as he has scored 10 goals and provided 6 assists, helping Liverpool sit on top of the table comfortably after 12 games played in the EPL.
