Kumasi Asante Kokoto has announced the arrest of three young men for selling fake tickets to fans.

On X, formerly Twitter, Asante Kotoko announced, “Management has lodged an official complaint with the Asokwa Divisional Police and has succeeded in arresting three people in connection with the selling of fake tickets during our #GPLMD16 with RTU”.

“One gentleman is wanted by the Police and anyone with knowledge about his hideout should kindly assist the Asokwa Police and the Club”, added the club.

Asante Kotoko earlier had announced that they had received notice that NSA staff was selling fake tickets.

“Management with the assistance from our vigilant supporters have arranged and handed over National Sports Authority staff who are selling unauthorised tickets at our game against RTU to the Ghana Police Service Unit at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium”, said Asante Kotoko.

Some supporters selling fake tickets have been in the system for quite a long time and something ought to be done to halt it.

Asante Kotoko won 1-0 against Real Tamale United in a combative fixture. The Ugandan forward Stephen Mukwala scored the only goal of the game in the 79th minute.
