Phobia’s inconsistencies reached their apex at the Tuba Astro Turf on Thursday afternoon after they lost to Nations FC by a lone goal.

Razak Simpson beautifully controlled the ball and unleashed a 35-yard shot that goalkeeper Kwesi Nketiah had no antidote to it. The goal sparked an incredible celebration from the Black Stars centre-back and the technical team of the away side.

Hearts of Oak are in a mess currently after a poor run of results and will need a complete turnaround to mount a chase for the title.

With 8 points behind the league leader Asante Kotoko, Phobia will have to win all their ten games left to stand a higher chance of doing the unthinkable.

Accra Hearts of Oak have struggled to get a consistent venue for their league games this season, and it is one of the many reasons the club has been disastrously underperforming. The game was initially scheduled to be played at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, and then it was switched to the WAFA Park in Sogakope before finally agreeing to play it at the Tuba Astro Turf.

Aboubakar Ouattara and his charges are under immense pressure to get the team back to winning ways.

Since the resumption of the league, Hearts of Oak has won only one league game (2-0 v Young Apostles) and have lost to Dreams FC, Bechem United and Nations FC in the league. They drew against Bibiani Gold Stars, making them the worst team alongside Legon Cities in the league in the last 5 games.

With games against Medeama, Vision FC and Aduana Stars upcoming, Abubakar Ouattara cannot afford to miss many more points.
