Tom Vernon founded the famous Right To Dream Academy in November 1999 in Ghana after seeing that there are so many talents across the country.

Many think that the academy, which is in the Eastern Region of Ghana, is all about nurturing footballers, but rather, it goes beyond that.

The founder, Tom Vernon, when speaking at the launch of the 25th anniversary, informed the general public that they don’t only train footballers but also offer education.

“What people don’t know is that Right To Dream is not just about football. It’s about football and education, so we choose the best footballing talent we can find across the subcontinent, and then we choose the best educational talent.”

The academy is known for producing footballers like Mohammed Kudus, Simon Adingra, Ibrahim Osman, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Abdul Majeed Waris, Ernest Nuamah and Yaw Yeboah among so many stars.

Every two years, in terms of Education, 15–20 students are selected out of 30,000 trialists and assessed both on their athletic ability and their academic performance to study and train at the Academy on 100% scholarships.
