Popularly known as RC3, Carlos is described by the connoisseurs of football as the most attacking-minded left-back in the history of the game.
The defender in 1995 joined Italian giants Inter Milan from Palmeiras, and a season later moved to Real Madrid where he spent 11 years laden with trophies.
Carlos later had spells with Fernabahce, Corinthians, Anzhi Makhachkala and Delhi Dinamos before retiring.
