Hooliganism has become part of Ghana’s football; there are no two ways about that, as players, referees, fans, journalists, and team officials have suffered a series of abuse across the football grounds in Ghana.

Many have bemoaned the constant abuse of people at football grounds calling for the administrators to act.

The latest to join the call for sanity in Ghana’s football is FC Samartex’s captain, Emmanuel Adu Siaw.

“As a player, all I can say is that there should be enough security at various stadiums, and proper education must be given to the supporters,” Siaw stated.

The killing of Pooley in Nsoatre is the climax of hooliganism in Ghanaian football and many believe it must be the turning point.

Security at some venues is so bad to the extent that referees are easily beaten by ordinary supporters.
