The blame will always be put on the former coach, Prosper Ogum Narteh because he is in charge of the technical team.
Asante Kotoko’s recent blip has opened a huge gap between them and leaders Bibiani Gold Stars, and it will take an extraordinary collapse from the Miners and Nations FC before the Porcupine Warriors can win the league.
After three winless games, Asante Kotoko decided to part ways with their head coach, Prosper Ogum Narteh, on Easter Monday.
Addressing the press on the big decision by the club, the Communications Director of the Porcupine Warriors, Sarfo Duku, blamed Prosper for the club’s struggles.
“We gave him complete freedom to recruit players of his choice, so if the players aren’t performing and management is doing its part, and it’s clear that the thing is about performance, who is responsible for improving the team’s performance? It is the technical team,” Duku said.
Asante Kotoko has 6 league games left and a semi-final fixture against Samuel Boadu’s Berekum Chelsea with Karim Zito expected to finish the season with them.
