Ghanaian young forward Kamaldeen Sulemana has not hit the ground running yet, but he is a delight to watch in Southampton’s colours.
Simply put, Sylemana is a fantastic forward and has all the attributes to be an ultra-modern day forward.
Sulemana’s revival back to his best is well underway with Croatian manager Ivan Juric the man in charge now.
On Saturday, Southampton hosted the red-hot Bournemouth at St Mary’s Stadium, where the Saints lost 3-1 as their miserable stay in the EPL continued.
First-half strikes from Dango Ouattara and Ryan Christie put the Cherries in a 2-0 comfortable lead. In the second half, Sulemana scored to give Southampton a comeback hope but Tarverniers 83rd minute goal finished the Saints.
Sulemana was brilliant on the day, and his manager, Juric, praised him.
“He’s a great guy, great quality. I think he can do really well. He scored a great goal; he was dangerous all the match, and I’m very happy with him,” the Croatian said in the post-match conference.
Kamaldeen was signed in a deal worth €20m in January 2023 from French side Rennes. The former Right to Dream Academy graduate has an unbelievable potential to be a Grade A attacker but injuries are delaying his development.
Southampton sits at the bottom of the table with hopes of surviving fading every weekend.
