It’s a decade since Fernabache won the Turkish Super Lig. With the appointment of Jose Mourinho,  a serial winner, the Fernabache family are optimistic they will end their long wait for the Turkish Super Lig title.

Former Black Stars skipper Stephen Appiah enjoyed an incredible three years with Fernabache. Jose’s appointment has excited Appiah and he is looking forward to seeing Fernabache reach a different level.

“I’m so excited because when it comes to Fenerbahce the fans are crazy. The character of Mourinho is going to fit so well with the club. His fame and coaching skills are going to give something huge to the Turkish Super League in general,” Appiah told rg.org.

“We have Djiku who has been able to win the hearts of the fans with the way he carries himself around and the way he approaches the game and I hope that with the arrival of Mourinho, he will be able to take his game to the next level,” added Stephe Appiah.

Alexander Djiku is a fan favourite for Fernabache after a series of incredible performances. The Ghanaian centre-back was a regular in the just-ended season and Appiah expects Djiku to improve under Jose Mourinho.

Fernabache narrowly missed the Turkish Super Lig to rivals Galatasaray and will be eager to win it after a 10-year drought under Jose Mourinho
