Ghana’s disastrous 1-1 draw at Chad has opened Group I wide in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars are just three points ahead of second-placed Madagascar and must beat Mali to maintain the three-point lead at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday night.
Ahead of the crucial fixture, Ghana’s Sports Minister Kofi Adams motivated the Black Stars to beat, declaring them the best team around.
“I know what you’re capable of. There’s no better team than you. You have the talent, the passion, and the opportunity to turn this around”, Kofi Adams said.
The Black Stars are laden with talented players and must do far better than what they are doing.
Ghana’s clash against neighbours Mali could end each team’s chances because Madagascar is lurking.
