In the absence of the veteran Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey will captain the Black Stars in the crucial World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central African Republic.
Ghana will travel to Bamako to face Mali before hosting CAR at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Speaking at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium where the Black stars are training, the Arsenal midfielder called Ghanaians to fill the Baba Yara Sports Stadium against the Central African Republic next week.
“I want to call everyone to come to Kumasi. We are playing against the Central African Republic, we want your support and I hope we get it,” Partey said.
The central midfielder returned to the team after missing the 2023 AFCON due to injuries.
He is expected to play a key role in Ghana’s bid to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
