Forson Amankwah, 21, has been monitored by a lot of clubs in the ongoing summer transfer window. Anderlecht, Sturm Graz, Norwich, Nordsjaelland, Freiburg, Augsburg, and Stuttgart have all shown great interest in the Ghanaian midfielder.
He has been in the books of Red Bull Salzburg for three seasons after joining the Austrian giants from WAFA in 2021.
The former WAFA Academy midfielder has agreed to join English Championship side Norwich City with both clubs having reached an agreement.
Johannes Hoff Thorup, the new manager for the club requested for the signature of the young midfielder after the club lost their Brazilian palymaker, Gabriel Sara, who has joined Galatasaray in a deal worth €18m.
In a bid to replace Sara, Norwich has identified the Ghanaian youngster Forson Amankwah to replace him.
The deal is expected to be completed next week with Forson set to travel to England to finalise the move.
Norwich finished 6th in the Championship last season and lost in the playoff against Leeds United.
They will plan to secure automatic qualification to the EPL in the 2024-25 season. The Canaries open their season with a trip to Oxford United on Sunday.
