The forward who can play across all the front three positions is considered one of the best attackers in the Ghanaian domestic football fraternity. Amankona’s loss of form when he signed for Kotoko three seasons ago was worrisome because he was considered a huge talent. When he returned home, he rediscovered his form and now has offers on the table.
Teams from Tanzania, South Africa, Egypt, and Algeria have all been considering signing the Ghanaian. Berekum Chelsea has received a $65k offer from Egyptian side Ismaily. The club is weighing the bid with Amankonah ready to accept it, per multiple sources.
Amankonah scored `19 goals in the 2023-24 season to win the Goal King in the GPL. In the just-ended season, Amnakonah scored 15 to win the award once again.
