South African champions Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Colombian forward Brayan Leon from Independiente Medellin.
Brayan Leon Muniza,25, has signed a three-year deal for the Brazilians from the Colombian side Independiente Medellin in a deal worth $3.2 million.
Born in Turbaco, a municipality in the Bolivar Department of Colombia, the forward, who can play across all the front three positions, played for Deportivo Pereira’s U-20 before getting the opportunity to represent the senior team in the 20/21 season. He left for Junior in 2023, where he was loaned to Independiente Medellin. His loan was made permanent in the 24/25 season after returning to the parent club Junior.
His signing is a sign that Mamelodi Sundowns want to win the ultimate, CAF Champions League once again since 2016. The club reached the finals, where they lost to Egyptian side Pyramids in the 2024-25 season.
In the Club World Cup in the USA, Mamelodi Sundowns announced their presence to the world with wonderful displays, and are fully ready to move to the next level with the signing of Brayan Leon.
Leon will join the Brazilians after the Christmas break, where he is expected to play crucal role in the CAF Champions League and the Betway Premiership.
