I quickly ran to Google to find the meaning of who a world-class player is before I could judge things myself although it is purely an opinion.

Per my little research on Google, ‘A world-class sports player, performer, or organization is one of the best in the world’. Isn’t Egyptian superstar, Mo Salah, one of the best left-footed footballers now? Isn’t Salah a world-class footballer? There are no two ways about that; in my opinion, Mohammed Salah is a bonafide world-class footballer.

On TalkSport UK on Sunday morning, Troy Deeney controversially claimed that Liverpool star Salah is good though but in his opinion, he doesn’t fall in his category of world-class players.

“My argument has always been that I just don’t think he’s world-class.

“But world-class is just a different opinion, what I think of world-class is would I want my kids to play like that player? That’s what I think is world-class.

“If I was asking my kids who want to be forwards, I would be saying I would like them to look at what Vinicius Jr does as opposed to Mohamed Salah. Deeney chose Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jnr over Salah.

“But his goals that he [Salah] scores, he scores an unbelievable amount of goals, he’s highly effective, but that’s just my opinion.

“I think Mohamed Salah is excellent, he’s a pivotal part of Liverpool and they should never have let it [his expiring contract] get to this situation, Deeney said about  Salah’s contract.

“But I understand that there’s a financial structure around what they want to try and keep to” added Deeney on Salah’s contract.

Mohammed Salah, 32, has been an incredible addition to Liverpool since he secured a dream move from AS Roma to Anfield in 2016 summer. The Egyptian has scored 163 goals in 261 appearances for The Reds.
