The late Highlife legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba passed away on Saturday, 26th July 2025, in Accra.

His demise shook everyone, and already he has been celebrated across the length and breadth of the country with an emotional candle night organised for him at the Independence Square in Accra on 3rd August.

Tributes were paid to the legend by thousands of Ghanaians. Kumasi announced to host a vigil for Charles Kwadwo Fosu, but it was cancelled due to the helicopter clash that killed eight Ghanaians in Obuasi.

The family of Daddy Lumba has announced that his One Week will be observed at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Legon.

The University of Ghana Sports Stadium on August 30th 2025, is expected to fill to its fullest capacity as people across the country will commiserate with the family and the lovers of Lumba.

A date for the final funeral rites will be announced during the Observation of the One Week.
