Three young Ghanaians in Dabala and Sogakope, located in the Volta Region, have been arrested for allegedly impersonating the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, and other notable figures on Social Media to scam unsuspecting individuals.
The individuals involved, 25-year-old Gideon Awudi, 33-year-old Edem Soku, and 31-year-old Judith Soku, are also believed to be involved in mobile money fraud, credit card fraud, airtime scams, and online sales fraud on social media.
The suspects are in police custody and are cooperating with the investigations being conducted by authorities. The Ghana Police Service is collaborating with unnamed individuals for investigations.
