“It was a no-brainer for me to join West Ham – I’m excited and happy to be here,” he said. “It’s an amazing feeling to be back in London, and I’m excited for what’s coming.

“I was born here, so I know the ins and outs of London, which plays a big part in my life, so to be back playing in this city means a lot to me,” Wan Bissaka said.

West Ham United has paid £15m for the signature of London-born Aaron Wan Bissaka from Manchester United.

Born to Congolese parents, the defender joined Manchester United in a £50m deal from Crystal Palace in 2019. He has penned a 7 year deal for the Hammers.

Wan Bissaka is the 8th signing made by new manager Julien Lopetegui after replacing David Moyes.

West Ham United have now spent £130m in the transfer wondow.
