Ghana is in Group F alongside Angola, Sudan and Niger for Morocco 2025 qualifiers. The Black Stars are expected to qualifier for the tournament to be played across December 2025 and January 2026 in Morocco.

Ghana head coach Otto Addo will play against former head coach Kwesi Appiah who is now in charge of Sudan. Sudan in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers have shocked everyone by topping a group that contains Senegal, Dr Congo, Togo, Mauritania and South Sudan after matchday 4.

This incredible performance has made Otto praised Kwesi Appiah and Sudan and has revealed that Ghana must be fully prepared for the qualifiers.

“We have Sudan, who are really performing well under Kwesi Appiah,” Addo said in a conversation with the Ghana FA website. “He’s an excellent coach, and their team, while not as well-known, is very tough right now in World Cup qualifiers.”

“It’s going to be a significant challenge, and we need to be at 100%,” he said. “It’ll be tough, but I’m excited and confident in our strong team,” Addo added.

Many Ghanaians are excited to be facing their beloved Kwesi Appiah’s scintillating Sudan.

The 2025 AFCON qualifiers will be played across September, October and November of 2024 with each of the 48 teams due to play 6 games.
