Mohammed Kudus became an instant hit for the Hammers when he secured a €42m mega move from Ajax Amsterdam to West Ham United.
The Ghanaian forward scored 8 goals and provided 6 assists in last season’s EPL and was accompanied by splendid performances. The stats do not even describe how good he was. Simply, Kudus was unstoppable for the Hammers in his maiden season.
Mo Kudus has not been able to repeat the same performances of last season in the current campaign causing massive disappointment among the West Ham fans.
West Ham’s manager, Graham Potter, has encouraged the Ghanaian playmaker to turn things around.
“Football can go like that sometimes. You can have a little spell when it doesn’t quite happen for you in front of a goal, or your final pass just doesn’t quite get there. It doesn’t take much to turn that around,” Potter
“I think Mo has had probably a season that, from his perspective, would be a little bit disappointing, not because of his lack of effort or anything like that, but sometimes these things happen.
“How he contributed, for example, against Arsenal in our win there, even though he didn’t score or assist, he was a top, top player in that game and massively helped us,” Potter concluded.
The Hammer’s sits 16th having won 34 points from 29 matches.
Mohammed Kudus, in a disappointing season, has scored three goals and provided one assist in 24 games.
