Phobia finally got the all important win they have craved for against Bechem United on Sunday night at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.

Hearts of Oak had lost their two opening games of the season against newly promoted side Holy Stars and Bashir Hayford’s Heart of Lions in Kpando.

These two results divided the Phobia family as the board and management expressed their desire to keep head coach Aboubakar Ouattara. Fans on the other hand called for his sacking soon after the 2-0 defeat at the Kpando Stadium.

Hearts of Oak had no option than to beat Bechem United to keep Aboubakar Ouattara for at least a week or two.

After the game, Ivorian head coach Ouattara called for unity in the Phobia family as it is the only thing that will send them to the Promised Land.

“We’re working for them supporters. I understand when they criticise us. You can criticise us and say anything you like, but please do not insult us”, Ouattara said.

“What we need is unity. We need to stay together, and if that happens, I think we can achieve a lot”, concluded Ouattara.

The head coach called for togetherness for the campaign because he sees a lot of division around the club. The Board, playing body and the fans have not sticked together for a while all because results have been bad.

Hearts of Oak has moved out of the relegation zone to 11th after matchday 3. Phobia has scored 2 goals, conceded 3 and have just 3 points from possible 9.

Phobia will travel to Nations to face the Abrankese-based club in matchday 4 of the Ghana Premeir League.
