FECAFOOT, The Sports Ministry of Cameroon and Samuel Eto’o have disagreed massively on Brys’ appointment.
After Rigobert Song was sacked, the Sports Ministry of Cameroon and His Excellency Paul Biya decided to appoint the new head coach. They agreed on the veteran Belgian head coach Marc Brys subsequently. Samuel Eto’o felt extremely disrespected and it led to a mini fracas between the Sports Ministry and FECAFOOT.
They have sorted out all their differences allowing peace to reign.
Marc Brys managed his first game for Cameroon today and thrashed Cape Verde 4-1.
A brace from the 32-year-old Besiktas forward Vincent Aboubakar, a goal each from Micheal Ngadeu and Nohou was enough for Cameroon to destroy Cape Verde.
It was all smiles for Cameroon after the game as they got back their darling Vincent Aboubakar, Bryan Mbeumo and Eric Maxim Chupo Moting back into the squad.
The indomitable Lions have leapfrogged Libya although seperated only by goal difference. They both have 7 points.
