Zinabu Issah, Ghana’s Paralympian, won Gold on Thursday in a discus throw in Marrakech at the Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan International Para Athletics 2025 Meetings in Marrakech.
She threw a personal record of 29.25, surpassing her previous 26.66 meters in the 2024 competition. For the Paris Olympic Games qualifiers, her record of 24.39 meters was shambolic in her opinion and she vowed to return with something spectacular.
The personal record which helped her lift gold will probably send her to the 2026 Commonwealth Games to be hosted by Glasgow in Scotland as well as the 2025 World Athletic Championships to be held in Tokyo from 13th to 21st September 2025.
Zinabu competed in the F57 women’s discus throw event and was the queen of the event.
