The draw for the preliminary round of the 2025-26 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup was conducted on Saturday afternoon in Da res Salaam, the capital of Tanzania.

Ghanaian sides Bibiani Gold Stars and Asante Kotoko, who will represent the nation in the Champions League and the Confederation Cup respectively, discovered their route to the Money Zone of the competitions.
Gold Stars in the CAF Champions League will face Algerian side JS Kabylie in their debut campaign. The Ghanaians will host the first leg and travel to North Africa for the return leg.
The winner of the tie will meet the winner of the tie between East End Lions of Sierra Leone and Tunisian side US Monastirienne.
In the Confederation Cup, two-time winners of the Champions League, Asante Kotoko, will renew the rivalry between Ghanaian and Nigerian football as they face Kwara United of Nigeria. The Ghanaians will return to the second tier of African club football since 2022.
The Porcupine Warriors will host the first leg in Ghana and travel to Nigeria to face the Nigerians. The winner will meet Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca of Morocco.
The preliminary round ties will be played on the weekends of September 19-21 (first leg) and September 26-28 (second leg) 2025.
