CAF has confirmed that Madagascar’s home fixture in round 6 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup fixture against Ghana has been scheduled to be played in Morocco.
Madagascar’s multi-purpose Kianja Barea Mahamasina stadium at the capital, Antananarivo, has not been able to stage CAF games recently with the Barea playing their home games outside their country.
The exact venue for the fixture in Morocco has not been confirmed yet.
The clash against Ghana could be decisive for the minnows in their bid to top Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Madagascar sits 3rd in the group, having won seven points from a possible 9, and is just two points behind Comoros and Ghana, who are first and second with 9 points won by each.
The Berea will travel to the Central Africa Republic on 19th March in round 5 of the qualifiers and host Ghana on 22nd March in round 6 in Morocco.
