Round 4 of the CCL continued on Saturday with Young Africans in Dar es Salam beating the five times champions TP Mazembe 3-1 at the Benjamin Mkapa National team.

Goalkeeper Badara Alioune Faty put the visitors in front via the spot kick in the 16th minute. On the stroke of halftime, Clement Mzize equalized in the 33rd minute. Aziz Ki gave Yanga the lead in the 56th minute. Mzize got his second and Yanga’s third in the 60th minute. The game ended 3-1 with Young Africans recording their first win in the group stage.

Young Africans sit third in the table, having won four points, while TP Mazembe languishes at the bottom of the table with just two points. Both teams will hope Group A leaders Al-Hilal Oumdurman will beat MC Alger so that they will have a good chance to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg smashed lowly Stade d’Abidjan 3-0. Relebohile Mafokeng, Patrick Maswaganyi and Deon Hotto scored the goals for the Buccs.

FAR Rabat defeated Congolese side Maniema 2-0 to move to the top of Group B. First-half goals from OuarkhaneAlt Khalid and Amine Zouhzouh were enough to condemn Maniema to defeat.

Mamelodi Sundowns lost 1-0 in Casablanca to Raja with Benamar Benaissa’s strike on the stroke of halftime. Three red cards were issued by Mauritanian referee Bouh. Sundowns’ Aubass Mudau both were sent off while Raja’s Zila also received a red card.
