The Ghana Premier League has been suspended indefinitely after Pooley was stabbed to death last week Sunday in Nsoatre when Asante Kotoko visited Nsoatreman.

The Ghana Football Association on Friday confirmed a decision to pay respect to Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Pooley who was known to be probably the biggest fan of the Ghana Premier League.

“In remembrance of Francis Yaw Frimpong, all Division One League and Women’s Premier League games hosted by the Ghana FA this weekend will feature black armbands and a minute’s silence,” the GFA wrote.

Across the league centres in the country, Access Bank Division One League and Women’s Premier League will be played.
