Accra Hearts of Oak fans were excited with the club’s 2-0 win over Young Apostles on Saturday night at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

The win helped the club occupied the top spot until 5 pm on Sunday when Asante Kotoko and Bibiani Gold Stars each won and leapfrog the Phobians on the table.

The club failed to meet the safety and security regulations of the GFA as Phobia allowed unaccredited persons, specifically their supporters, into the Safe Zone to celebrate, which is considered misconduct and a violation of security protocols.

GFA statement read;

Accra Hearts of Oak have been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for violating safety and security regulations following their Ghana Premier League match against Young Apostles FC.*

Per the Ghana Football Association, the club breached Article 8(e) of the 2025 GFA Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols and Article 34(6)(d) of the 2019 Ghana Premier League Regulations.

It remains unknown the punishment the GFA will give to Hearts of Oak for breaking the rules and regulations.

Hearts of Oak will travel to Dreams FC on next Sunday with head coach Aboubakar Ouattara demanding another win from his impressive team.
